Big Deal. What else is new. Everyone already knows that the Democrats are cheap and don't pay their campaign bills anyway.
From The Denver Post: After months of planning for two dozen parties to fete the 56 delegations to the Democratic National Convention — and facing financial difficulties — the city's host committee is scrapping those parties and holding one big bash.
One big bash. One big bash of pure chaos. That sounds like fun. They'll probably serve pretzels and punch to keep costs down. Delegates will have to resort to bringing their own Cliff Bars and Vitamin Water in an environmentally friendly thermos.
The party for the 6,000 delegates and their guests on Aug. 24 will honor Friends of New Orleans, a charity formed to help that city recover from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The host committee originally said in a news release that Friends of New Orleans would be hosting the party. That is incorrect, according to the group, which raises funds for non-profit groups in Louisiana. The host committee is paying for the party. After the party, Friends of New Orleans is planning a gathering of its own at Fillmore Auditorium to raise awareness of the rebuilding efforts. The group plans a similar event at the Republican National Convention in Minnesota.
Now isn't that interesting... a charity originally formed to help Hurrican Katrina victims will be funding the Dems big bash.
These are the same people who have driven our economy in to the toilet, caused the increase of gas prices, the increasing unemployment rate, and they want total control of America? They can't even budget correctly for a convention.
The Democrats are famous for blowing into town, having fundraising events and then stiffing caterers, printers, bands and other vendors. COD: Democrats are well known for being required to pay cash upfront to vendors - because it's the only payment small vendors may see.
Living the high life is more important than doing the right thing. The Clinton campaign was famous this past year for luxury travel, 5-star food, lavish fundraisers, and hundreds of small vendors left holding unpaid bills.
The Democratic Convention is too large and public an event for unpaid bills. But watch: They will suceed in stiffing local Denver companies one way or another.
Life is too short to be cheap and not pay your bills. But that's how they run the country: It's always "me first," with Democrats.
